Policies

  • I ship orders within one to two business days (usually next business day). I will send tracking as soon as the order is packed and ready to go. I'm also happy to meet locally (in the Bangor area) or arrange for pickup at one of my events - both are options we can discuss as well.
  • I make sure to package our items extremely well and am not responsible for any damages which occur during shipping. However, customer service is my priority so I will do our best to work with you, in the rare case an item gets damaged during transit.
  • Custom pieces require a nonrefundable 50% deposit. I prefer payments via PayPal Goods and Services but also take Venmo.  Once I receive the deposit, I will begin working on the piece.  I will be update you during the process with photos. Any changes you would like to be made can discussed at this point. If you'd like to add any other elements or items to the piece that weren't previously agreed upon may incur additional charges to the piece.  Once the piece is complete, the remaining balance will be due.
  • I rehydrate and pin all butterflies and insects myself. I also chemically preserve and mummify specimens.
  • I do NOT kill anything for my work.  My insects are sustainably sourced and farm raised. I have a USFW license which allows me to legally import insects from overseas.  All animas, including those I use for wet specimens, have passed away naturally.  I work with various suppliers all over the US to source my animals from zoos, farms, breeders and failure to thrive situations.
  • All animal parts and materials are utilized as much as I can.  Whether it is animal bones, teeth, feathers (MBTA friendly species) or claws, I use everything possible so that nothing goes to waste.
